A friend of mine bought some Hard Core "GAY VIDEOS"Some-one told the police,His home was turned over,They took away some videos,Now he has had too go too court,He was found GUITY,He has asked to go too CROWN court,Now this is what he has been told by his lawyer,,Even though he has not seen some off the videos,it didnt matter,The fact that he bought the videos "HOPING"to see two consensual men having GAY sex which would or could in volve ANAL SEX/BUGGERY(His lawyer says these acts are elegal in the UK and therefore carry a sentence of LIFE in prison)Surely 1,the law has changed? 2,How can this be allowed to happen?/Also if he is found guilty,He will be put on the SEX OFFENDERS LIST..This is a joke..URGENT HELP ADVISE NEEDED NOW.

well anal sex isnt illegal, the age has been lowered to 16 recently hasnt it? and it was 18 before that so i dont know where you get the idea from that hes gonna get life and be put on the sex offenders register for intending to watch some gay sex. <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/confused.gif">

Last I checked, gay sex was only legal between 2 consenting men IN PRIVATE (and the definition of PRIVATE was quite amazing.

In the case u mentioned about the shop worker being imprisoned for selling porn videos, the courts were allowed to imprison him because he 'knowingly' sold illegal material. I would have thought they would have also charged the shop owner as well?? But 12 months prison seems really exteme.
If u want advice phone the helpline DaBrainz gave, also why aren't u asking his lawyer these questions? Surely his lawyer is the most qualified person to answer your questions? If u don't find his present lawyer to be very helpful could he get a different lawyer?
As u get a jury at crown court hopefully he'll get open minded people hearing his case. Couldn't his lawyer use the Human Rights Act in your friends defence?

I really hate this country as far as the laws on sexual videos go. Yes there are extremes and limits, but... still they are being a bit tight!
I think recently a new certificate was released the new "18R" certificate, its blue and certifies hardcore videos for sale in sex shops.
My information however is not 100% accurate, so if anyone else can elaborate on what I've said please do so... but I'd recommend phoning that number Karla posted mate.

I think mainly what they will try and do, or if they want to save face all around is go for a contract dispute, he entered into a contract knowing it to be illegal, said and done!
