Eu and Crete..and insurance

Hey

Little bit confused
Am going to Malia in afew days YEY and have bought my euros BUT just sorting out my insurance. Even though they use euros, they not in the european union so i have to get worldwide travel insurance. is this right??

has anyone been recently who got cheap insurance with any company?
Apparently the post office is cheap but its comin up at £50 for me for a week to crete!!

Any help grately appreciated! :)

    Crete is in Europe, therefore you're looking for cover for a week in Europe. There's no way it'll be 50 quid.

    Pretty sure you could get it cheaper though if you shop around.

    Create is in the EU - its part of greece - your thinking of Cyprus which isn't.

    But yes just get normal European Travel insurance and also an E111 form from your post office - which you can use for to get health care when your out there - you might have to pay some depending on what the local arrangements are but its not as much as you would normally have to pay upfront and then claim back from your insurance company.
