Ski Blades

A sport shop near me is closing down and they have got ski blades really cheap so i was wondering what they are like?

Im a decent skiier but was wondering if going to blades would be a big step

    Nah not at all - piece of piss! And a lot of skiiers take the piss out of them but i love them, amazing for jumps and moguls. You just have to develop a bit of style on them coz most people you see on them look like retarded toddlers

    whats it like stopping with them? what is the speed like compared to skis

    bit slower than skis on the straight because less surface area but you can rocket down moguls because more manouverability. Stopping takes it out of you legs after a while if you ski at speed but for some reason they feel a bit more exhillerating. If your on steep slopes and going at a fair rate you almost need to put your hand down as you turn!

    Great fun ... if they're going cheap buy 'em and try 'em!
