i did it for 3 years, so it depends on how you are. if you can resist going out then you'll be fine, but you will find that there is always someone going out everynight of the week.

people "settle down" at uni and stop partying  omg!

no. seriously. nobody at uni can party everynight because nobody has the money to.

if you want some "space to yourself" thats fine. so will everyone else, unless they are some sort of freak on ecstacy. :hyper:

freshers week is probably the only time at uni you go out all the time... because there is so much on you don't want to miss and it helps in bonding and making friends. but other than that, its entirely up to you, your wallet, and your mates how often you do. :)

why didn't you just do one post asking all these questions instead of about 5 different ones?

no one is going to make you go out.

I thought you meant in terms of being home-sick, which varies.

I'd say just drink less when you go out, or do cheaper things with your time. Instead of going out you could invite a gathering over and drink at home. "Bring a bottle".

Either way it's important to get the balance right between socialising and studying. Just don't worry about it, as somebody said you don't have to go out.
