Ben and Jerry's have just launched a new initiative WWF and polar explorer Marc Cornelissen, called the Climate Change College, at
www.climatechangecollege.org.

The College is a unique initiative geared to turn six talented 18-25 year olds from the UK and the Netherlands into world-class climate change campaigners set to challenge the business world of tomorrow.

Based on the WWF global climate change campaign it will include a mix of workshops and lectures with leading industry professionals, plus a hands-on scientific fieldtrip to Greenland in April 2006. The programme will assist in WWF's target of increased online activism to influence government legislation on carbon emissions as well as encouraging personal commitments to reduce pollution. Finally, every ambassador will be offered an internship with Ben & Jerry's or other relevant commercial business to see how social and environmental values can be integrated in business.

Applications are taken through the website at www.climatechangecollege.org and entries close on the 10th October, with the training and course work including the trip to Greenland taking place in 2006.

Is someone assuming here that TheSite.org users are a bunch of environment-loving, tree-hugging hippies? :p
