nail painting question

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
ok, after many years of biting, my nails have finally got to a decent length so i can paint them! one problem tho, i keep getting nail varnish all round the edges, which is hard to get rid of with cotton buds, even the pointed ones.
What im wondering is, is there any such thing as a nail varnish remover pen? something i can use to correct mistakes easily.
Where can you buy them+how much are they?
thanx

    Avon do one.

I have the one from Avon.

The tip is to slow down when painting nails. Too fast, and you'll go over the edge, too slow and your polish will dry.
I sometimes hold the skin back before I paint near the sides, just to keep the brush away from the edge...

Or dip cotton ear buds into nail varnish remover, then go round the edges of your nail and take off varnish that got on the skin when you've finished painting.

ive tried that, but sometimes the cotton fluffs up+they arent quite precise enough.

or try an nail varnish remover gel, which would prob do it. you can get one in boots or superdrug. 'curex' or something i think its called.

Failing having a remover pen, what you do is take an orange stick, wrap a wisp of cotton wool round the tapered end and dip it in nail varnish remover. In fact, the end of an orange stick is much finer than any pen I've seen.

Try using clear varnish with glitter in, mistakes aren't so obvious then!
