The one thing I've never liked, however slightly unrelated it is, is the fact that gay men are frowned upon by a large amount of the population, and lesbians more often than not aren't because it "turns straight men on". I'm not saying lesbians should get it bad or anything, but it's pretty small minded when you get homophobic minded guys who like lesbians...
That's because the media is controlled by misogynistic heterosexual men. Those who believe women are merely sex objects whilst men can't be the same because they're not tissue box material.

I'm bisexual and not turned on by gay porn. But then again, I'm mostly bored by porn anyways. I just like watching girls make out because that's beautiful. :-)

I wonder how people feel about bisexuals. We never get talked about. It's always about the straight people and the gay people. There's actually a huge gray area.

This thread has got really off topic. Can you try to get back to the original point or I'll have to close it.
Zooby - of course you are entitled to give your opinions. What people don't like is when you are offensive towards them - and funnily enough, claiming that homosexuals are disgusting is pretty offensive. May I remind you of the first rule you signed up to:

"Harassing, threatening, abusive, vulgar, obscene, defamatory, racist or otherwise unlawful posts are not permitted."

Iv heard about that test to prove homophobic men are a bit poooooofey and frankly Im a bit sceptical about both their sample and the results.

Human sexuality is more complex than that and especialy getting erections, men can get them when scared or feeling triumphant, perhaps as gey sex is "the other" to them different that that causes the arousal where as the non homophobes arent bothered by gay sex probably bored with it.

It seemes to me this study set out to prove that all homophobes are realy secretly gays, and not set out to find the truth

theres nothing in finding gay sex or kissing wrong i find many acts wrong including hetero sex acts, and that my opinion, whether i let it judge who i want to know is another question cause i get on well with those i get on well with and dont who i dont :thumb:

Really? There isn't one TV drama i've seen which doesn't have the obligatory strong independent female busting as many balls as is possible. You're in la-la land.

i agree with that completely. for instance, lets take "friends"...in almost every single episode "joey" is thinking or talking about "hot" lesbian action.

*also* in every episode? chandler, ross, or joey being made fun of or feeling insecure about doing or feeling something feminine...or "acting like a chick"

well, why are they being made fun of?why is gay either funny or frowned upon and lesbian thought of as cool or sexy?

sorry bout the irellivent "friends" flashback but i just saw an episode....and im not sure if any of what i said made sense, but cut me some slack- i worked a 14 hour shift today.

Bisexual people do get talked about, but not often in a positive light.

if a man is actually straight, surely more than 1 woman is a turn on, its a fantasy! like many girls i know like the idea of a 3some with 2 men purely for attentions sake

and being feminine isnt necesserily gay which is what youre suggesting by yourline of argument

men and women are different by nature, obviously theres those who blur the lines but in general we are different yet however we are the same in other ways. and no sex is better than the other sometimes different approaches are called for and the huge mix of people shows this so shut it with the feminist claptrap

and before youcall me a bigot i quite comfortably believe in equal treatment of everyone until i know what theyre like

The best comedy is a reflection of society and people. If you refuse to reflect that in order to make some kind of fucked-up political statement then you can wave goodbye to humour.
