Sore eye

I accidently poked myself in the eye earlier and its not stopped stinging since and keeps watering and stinging really badly. Ive tried an eye wash but its not helped, anything i can do to soothe it?

    shut your eye and apply cold water.

    also, make sure there is nothing in your eye which is aggrevating it.
    if so, flush it out either with saline / water.

    done that. Apparently I could have scratched it a little bit but my boyfriends had a look and says he cant see anything
