UK nurses do get a bursarybut it depends on whether you do the degree or the diploma. Im also not sure if overseas students are entitled. Youd have to ask the university.

www.ucas.co.uk is a good starting point if your hoping to do a degree in nursing or www.nmas.ac.uk if you wanna go for a diploma.
Best advice i could give is to try and get a bit of experience before you start, its not essential and i didnt have any but people i know who did have some experience said that it helped a fair bit.

BA(Hons) Nursing Studies at Glasgow Caledonian University!!

In second year - it is Adult Branch btw!!! Qualify next year!! But at least I will be a part-time student and part-time nurse during my honours year!!

"UK nurses do get a bursary but it depends on whether you do the degree or the diploma"

Yes if you live south of the border, in Scotland, Dips and Degree get the same - all non-means tested .......

I look like a dentist in my uniform :(

Yea hopefully starting a nursing course in september, probably diplome route!!

Want to do it in exeter as live in taunton and don't want to stay for three years in this shit hole!!

Hopefully, specialising in midwifery, but finding it difficult to get any work experience before i start as it is so personal, any ideas as to what sort of work experience i can do?? does it have to be specific to the course or is general care work good enough??

    cheers

Nursing and midwifery are two dfferent professions! You cannot specialise in midwifery, you can however complete a shortened course in midwifery after completing nursing
