ive just got back from AIR with my 4 other non-raving mates from uni, and im really glad to say, a blinding time was had by all.
Very well run, firm but fair and helpful security, very much on top of the job all night, so respect to them for keeping us all safe :thumb:
Only trouble i saw was during the Hixxy-Styles kick-off set, but Storm was on it in a flash and had the offender booted double quick
Sy and Storm totally on top form again (natch), Kevin Energy was rocking the place when we got in (and i do mean that literally, ohhh that basss :shocking:
). Spent a bit of time in the old skool room. I was a bit unsure about this when they moved it to the smaller room but deffo a good idea, suits it well, a little more laid back than the other arenas, very happy.
We caught the end of Tommy Knocker, and ended up right by the front left speaker stack when he unleashed some SERIOUSLY HARD speed gabba during his last few tunes. I love MC Ribbz, he's just ace at hyping up the party and getting people involved with the set.
OOOOOHHHH that 'Freedom 2 Dance' thing:no: :no: :no:....does it ever stop! i thought we'd be on that thing forever! my gut was in my throat for the entire ride......FUCKING ace though
ONLY gripe...£3.50...not for a can, but a BOTTLE OF BECKS! one of the smallest bottled beers commonly on sale....for a can thats extorsion BUT at least you get a decent drink out of it...minor gripe, getting pissed wasnt on the agenda anyway so it didnt matter
Think thats about it...apart from MC Presha turning up at the end of the LUNA C, HAM + Wizzbit set; and Ramos + Supreme SMASHING IT CLEAN UP (cannot stress that enough) BIG style...im a really big fan and was well catered for.
Left about 4.30am (mate had to get up next day) with 4 very pleased, very happy (no longer) rave-virgins
...think thats it...oh and yeah actually managed to meet up with Zoma and his girlfriend at this one (which was nice) :wave: :thumb: to them

All in all a fucking blinding night, couldn't fault it. Air is a really nice venue, got that cosy feeling to it. One question though: surely we can't be the only first timers to stand in the non-guestlist code holders queue for fucking ages!?! 'Cos of that it took us about an hour and a half to get in.
Sets wise, I can't really remember too much. Kevin Energy was ripping it up big time, loved every minute I saw. Err, Tommyknocker from what I remember was a quality stomping session, as was Producer. The rest was a bit of a blur, but don't remember hearing a single bad set so keep it up!
Big up the friendly security who escorted us right the way from the bottom upto the old skool room (and was a right laugh too), Bashir and all his non-raving mates - glad you won them over mate! Err, Hixxy for being a much sounder person than I expected him to be, definition of down to earth, must be proper stressful as well. Oh and an especially big shout out to Robbie Dee for trying to stick his tongue down my missus' throat, get in.
Will definitely be in attendance for the next one (any time soon?) In the meantime, roll on the 26th Feb!
