Bad News.

Just because I'm in a bad mood and nobody cares, I thought I'd start a thread posing the question 'what was the last piece of bad news you recieved?' before I went to write poetry about my eternal sadness.

Here are some examples of what counts as bad news:

Uncle John was mugged by muggers, of all people
Eating dogshit by mistake
Nan having heart attack

Here are some examples of what does not count as bad news:

Run out of pie
Run out of beer
Internet broke for 20 minutes

Of course, for it to be bad news someone would have to say to you "by the way, that was dogshit you just ate" or "just so you know, your nan just had a heart attack". My gosh I'm unhappy this fine evening.

"Frances, the vet rang at 1:30 this morning to tell me that Olive's lung collapsed and they asked if they could put her to sleep".

Olive = my dog...this was on Monday. I've been noticably moody for the last however-many-days.

My neighbor died a couple of days before Christmas. He was a good person, although he'd gone a bit crazy the last few years...

My pal at work (who's had a wanky year as it is) lost her uncle on Christmas Eve.
