my brother was out playing and he said he got some dirt in his eye but now under his top eyelid it has become extremely red its only in his one eye it looks very painful but he insists that it isnt. any ideas as to what this could be

    The dirt could have scratched his eyeball. It should heal in a few days and get less red. If it doesn't then get it checked out.

    He's probably just irratated it, wash it out with lots of water. If it doesnt go down in the next few days, go get it checked out.
