Well it depends on how you take it as such.

If you smoke it, it can be instantanious (sp) though it may take a few tokes to hit you and get the levels up as such.

If you eat it, it will have to be digested so can take 30-45 mins at quickest.

It all depends on the quality of the hash aswell of course :D

I think you misread Bopz, I believe he is asking about how long cannabis can be detected in the blood through a test.

For a moderate to low user its normally about 2 weeks up to 5 or 6 weeks for heavy use. But thats for a urine test.

They rarely bother with blood ones for cannabis.

What makes you think your getting tested?

You could have a look at the site's info page on testing for more info.

And of course Erowid's page on cannabis and testing has detailed information.

I think www.bluelight.nu has a good FAQ on drug testing too.

Can take months, which is unfortunate if you get tested via your job or whatever. There's ways around tests, though.

i think its something like 6 weeks, but stays in your fat cells for months....

All depends on how often and how much you smoke it, could take months for a heavy user.

From Erowid, for those of you too lazy to click on the link -
    Detection Period in Urine
    Single Use : 48-72 hrs
Habitual Use : up to 12 weeks

    Hair Testing
Cannabis use is detectable with hair tests and is generally included in the standard hair test. Hair tests generally take the most recent 1.5 inches of growth and use those for testing. That provides a detection period of approximately 90 days. If an individual's hair is shorter than 1.5 inches, this detection period will be shorter.

    Saliva Testing
In the past few years, new technologies have been developed which allow for saliva testing for the presence of Cannabis (THC). We do not currently have information about what the detection period is for these tests.

    Blood Testing
Cannabis is detectable in the blood for approximately 2-3 days after use in an infrequent user. Frequent use can be detected in the blood for approximately 2 weeks.

Hair tests are the most expencive and are done rarely.

The standard is urine, and even they arent done all that often in the UK. Plus of course there are serious doubts over the accuracy of these tests.

Most urine samples are just given a short test, not taken for full analysis. This means that I think about one in a 100 is a mistake. Nice to think about when its someones job on the line.

am a student nurse and like to take a toke now and again, its rare that we get tested and havnt done yet but they did speak about introducing it.

Most of the time its just talk. If they were to randomly test all nurses not only would it cost loads but they'd have to sack a load of nurses too.
