Not had a cold for nearly 2 years and now my sinus feels blocked and I gotta cough :(. Any way how I can get rid of it quickly? I've read the the thjng on the site about colds 'n stuff.. any more tips. :(

Why are colds called colds btw?

    liberal amounts of orange juice, paracetamol and sudafed also help.

    What about for killer sore throats ?

    Cause i have one, im getting a cold and ive never had a sore throat that felt this bad before... any tips to ease the pain in the throat ??

    I pop vitamin C tablets like they're going out of fashion.
    Seems to work, though I have a stinking cold sore on my top lip at the minute. Gah.

    Ohhh, I had a right horrible sore throat just before I got my cold.. it was like there was something stuck right down in the bottem and also felt like someone had got sandpaper and sanded my throat done. Mmmm.

    Any way, you could try something with honey in it. Lcokets may help, also a gargle with warm salty water, pure Tea Tree oil or Listerine will help.

    That is what I have atm, really annoying and painfull.

    My mum gave me this and it worked really well for the cough

    Apple Cider Vinegar (not normal vinegar that's made from like Coal Tar)

    Warm water and Honey

    I tried it and my cough stopped straight away

    i only have the cough bit left of my cold and was looking for something to take it away i might just give the warm water and honey a try :
