Im not sure if this is the right forum but I was wondering if anyone knew how I would be viewed if I applied for a job in the public sector either teaching or in the health service as I have both depression and anxiety written on my medical records. Would it be an immediate put off or not?

the health service tend to be more understanding, but to be honest, it doesn't affect my work, so i lie.

they can't check your medical records without your consent, and imo, it's none of their business.

if it was going to affect the way i worked, i would declare it. and i think the health service would be fine with it, cause they're all about equality and positivity for people with illnesses, but i think if you were going for a job in education, because it's so utterly stressful anyway, they would be put off.
