I just bearly got back from work and this guy was in there(the tanning salon) and kept asking me if I have ever thought about being a stripper. im like :eek2: HA
I've danced once or twice but it was just for fun at a strip club (we were there for my sisters bachelorette party and I had waay to much to drink)
I thought the guy was just joking around but he came back about 45 minutes later and said they have an opening for a dancer. (not bragging) but he said I have the body for it. and I don't know if I should do it one time and see how it is or just forget the whole idea. He works at a club that I've heard of and I've seen it alot in downtown Salt Lake but I just don't know I'd I should take him up on the offer or forget it.
If you were in my situation, what would you do?

My ex is a stripper, and yeah I guess it's bad but er.. cha ching $$
No, not compleatley, i think its always an attraction by some girls, and others do it because they are desperate for the money. My mates sister goes to Liverpool uni, shes a dancer in a strip club purely because she cant afford everything.
Im not sure whats wrong with a normal job though :chin:
Whether or not I would do it, hmm, I doubt it. Whether or not it is degrading is up to you I think, if you just see it as a job and a way to make money, plus something you might actually enjoy then maybe it isnt.
A lot of people wouldnt see it that way though.

This is a great site about exotic dancing and what it involves, how to be safe if you choose to be a dancer, what sort of things you will need, and just other tips and advice so you can get some idea of what it will be like. Obviously you would need to find out what sort of thing you would be expected to do, like pole dancing/lap dances etc. what the dress code policy is (some like you to be completely naked, some like you to wear just a thong, some cute little outfits etc.).
I think if you're comfortable with doing it, you're a confident person and your friends and family are going to respect your choice, then you should do it. Of course it is very important that you check out the club before going to dance there, find out what their policies are and what security is like, and if possible if you go there to audition or whatever take a friend with you.
When I go out clubbing nowdays a large number of girls wear extremely revealing clothing and dance *extremely* provocatively anyway, in my opinion dancing "professionally" and getting paid for it isn't much different to this. I also think such places are more degrading to the men who go there than the women who work there. If you've got the strength of character to do such a job and you feel good enough about yourself to do it, then I certainly admire you for that.
Good luck with your decision anyway
obviously the choice is yours huni, let us know what you decide!
