Birthday ideas for an 18 year old???

A mate is having a barbeque for his 18th, minus parentals etc etc.. What is the most random present you've ever bought for someone? (I was considering buying him a fish or something stupid like that)

The cynical reply, "fish? i hate fish...what would i do with it when i get bored?"

I had to point out thats what his cat was there for...
any ideas would be appreciated beacoup :)

    Welcome to the STUDENT forum, notice the word STUDENT, means the whole forum is about STUDENTS. Now where exactly does "Birthday present" fit into STUDENT.

    "birthday ideas" is a bit of an anomoly topic to try and fit in anywhere. Here's me thinking these forums were used to get advice and not abuse.

    What age is the guy? 18? Im hardly out of line here for posting in the Student section, smart arse!

    You could buy him a pineapple. I gave a guy a pineapple for his birthday once because he had a party and I didn't have a clue what he was into and everybody loves pineapples...

    Well I know this wasn't the question you asked but the most random gift I have ever received was in our secret santa thing at Christmas with my uni friends. We were meant to spent a tenner on each other but the guy buying for me spent £54 on a 13-inch dildo :eek2:

    Yes. It's made by Doc Johnsons sex toys and was purchased in Soho. It came with instructions like which lubricants you can use with it and how to clean it after use. More scary than the length is the girth actually. Never used it mind :p

    WTF, well obvously being 18 makes you a student, and as for having a birthday. Well only students have birthdays, glad we cleared that one up.
