Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
ick..scared..
so....
I took some body pics with the thought I was going to post them on this bodybuilding website i found and ask how to lose fat..but then i didnt think theyd like me joining their site and saying i wanted to lose fat but not do bodybuilding or anything, as that was their aim..
erm..
so..well yes, im scared. i will probably ask for this to be deleted at some point, but how much shall I lose and what exercises will be most effective for toning whatever disgusting body part needs it the most?
I dont even necessarily need the name of exercises, but which body part shall I focus on this half term?
Im going to lose 40lbs more eventually but it's not going too well. :( ick nevermind.

You silly cow, of course I don't agree that you need all the help you can get, and nor will many people, if anyone.

I'm not saying you posted the pictures for attention, of course not, and I understand that you obviously do feel unhappy with your shape; but let's just get one thing straight - you are nowhere near approaching fat. Nowhere near. You look normal and healthy to me.

Now I've said that... with regard to losing weight/toning, I'm trying to do kind of the same thing at the moment because I'm feeling a bit chubby and unfit. Do you do much exercise? Try swimming because it tones all your muscles without bulking up too much. Also jogging and similar things, and if you're worried about thighs and bottom and stuff, try squats and other exercises focusing on your bottom half. Do little things like walking or cycling instead of taking the bus/train/car.

And regarding eating... don't snack. Don't eat greasy stuff. Limit yourself to a sandwich at either lunch or dinner, but eat properly for the other meal.

Don't just stop eating or yo-yo diet - very bad for you.

Other than that... not sure! I've never been one for serious dieting like the Atkins diet or anything structured; I've always found that just trying to eat healthily and in moderation has worked pretty well!

i think most people on here will agree with me, you no way look fat!!... seriously.

what perfect day said was good... i find walking briskly very useful in toning, say 40 mins everyday, do it for a week and i bet you'll see the difference!! try alternating the different excercises you do so you dont get bored and also so you dont end up missing out muscle groups.

by the way, i remember from another thread that youve had and ED for 5 years? make sure this weightloss thing doesnt become an obsession. it wont help your problems at all...

40 pounds? are you joking? you'll be like aneorexic!

you arent fat at all. i'd kill to be a bit more 'curvy' believe me being 'skinny' isn't all its cracked up to be, constantly get 'are you eatting alright? what have you eatten today? are you putting weight on?'

but i guess if you really feel you need to, sit-ups/crunches are a good place to start.
also, drink lots of water. wow i seem to tell people to do that lots

Where the hell are you going to loose 40 lbs from??? If you loose that much you'll look like a gaunt skeletal freak.
You don't say how tall you are, or how much you weigh, so we don't have much of an idea about your weight. But from the pictures I'd say you only had a small amont of podge to you. Nothing to be overly concerned about. I'd guess that loosing a quarter of that (10lbs) would make you look very slim, but don't loose any more than that, otherwise you'll be like a walking toast rack. And if you're going to loose weight, then loose it sensibly. A little at a time.
Don't forget that if you're going to excercise that muscle weighs more than fat, and therefore if you tone up you're going to hardly weigh any less, yet will still be trimmer, and may even drop a size while only being a couple of pounds lighter than before. I've seen some amazing before and after pics of a bloke who weighs exactly the same in the photos, yet in the first he's showing signs of a slight pot belly, though he isn't fat. But in the second photo he has muscles everywhere! Same weight, but excercise and toning making all the difference.
Just remember this. As you are right now, you're not fat.

    Your not fat!!!!

If you want to tone up then do more excrise that concentrates on the parts that you want to tone.
