accoding to most economists ...slashing one hundred and thirty five billion quid ...will devastate the nhs pensions ...transport ...social security and ...more importantly for you right wingers ...business. fgags ...sweets ...petrol ...beer ...food ...holidays ...clothes ...pets ...and more ...much more.
you cannot take that ammount of money out of the publics hands without a massive effect.

Exactly. Yet more cases of turkeys voting for Xmas...

Are you a millionaire Luke? Will you be able to pay for private health care for you and your family? Will you be able to send all the children you one day might have to private schools? Can you afford a car and to fork out petrol and parking fees for commutting every day? Are you planning to save up heavily for retirement?

If the answer to any of those questions is no, you'd be rather foolish to vote for the tories.

well said laddin ...but it comes down to even more than that.
when thatcher produced a country of homlesness and massive crime ...it ws a hint to the rich ...do you want to enjoy being rich ...which they should be allowed to do ...or do you want to be rich amongst devastation and despair and anger and resentment and ever mounting security situations cos simply ...the more poor and desperate people you create ...the more uncomfortable it will become to be wealthy.
surely to be wealthy in a healthy and well fed society is far more enjoyable.

Well if your first employment turns out to be a McJob you can start thanking Labour then. Your 'friends' the tories were against the minimum wage and had Labour not won in 97 chances are you'd be earning £1.60 or if you're lucky £2 an hour. So you should start thanking Labour for ensuring that you'll get a wage that if not entirely decent, at least not exploitative.

Secondly, no one is being 'taxed to death'. The people who pay most taxes are the people who can afford it the most. As a matter of fact there is a lot of room for further tax increases for higher rate earners without their superb quality of life being affected one iota.

Thirdly, it is a well known fact that the tories' ultimate goal is to destroy the NHS and to go all-private. If you can't afford private health then you should DEFINITELY avoid the tories like the plague.

I'm not even going to comment on the asylum seekers remark because it's pathetic beyond words.

The reason it looks like there is not a great deal of support for the Liberal Democrats is the electoral system in this country. In the 97 general elections the Liberals won just inder half the votes Labour did but only won a sixth of the seats that Labour won in the Commons

I will be voting Liberal Democrats.

Even though there is no chance in hell they're going to win?
