You can NOT import your own prescription drugs without a licence from the Home Office and, I am assuming no one here has such a thing.
Customs are quite likely to take your stuff, impound it, charge you and you'll still have to pay Mastercard for the privilage.

SO, they operate a system where you are allowed to search around for cheaper drugs to fill your prescription to increase competition.
This means that you can buy your prescription drugs over the net with a prescription from your doctor and import them.
BUT, this does not apply here because the NHS uses its buying power (much larger than any home consumer) to force lower prices. (black listing expencive drugs etc. *)
And of course we only pay a flat rate for our prescriptions so competition for filling prescriptions doesnt work here.
*Of course the black listing of some prescription drugs is another matter altogether and has in some cases led to a post code lottery of what drugs you are allowed. It also has led to a serious depleting of profits for the drug companies which could force one or more of them out of business. But thats beside the point really.
