Hi, I am a full-time student - degre level.
I work part time but am paying tax.
A few months I got a tax rebate but after that they continued to tax me.
This tax year I have earned £7521.22 and paid £403.24 in tax and £319.14 in National Insurance.
It also says I have paid ERS NI of £80.31 and ERS NI to date of £371.
Do other students here pay tax and NI or is it just me?
Also does anyone know how I can get a rebate if this is wrong?
I've looked on the IR site but didnt find much out.
If you help me get it back I'll give you a reward ;-)
Thanks - Joe

Students
Your income will not be taxed if:
You earn less than your personal allowance of £4615 a year
You haven't claimed JSA in the last year
You only work during holidays
If you meet these requirements, complete a P38 form available from your local tax office and give it to your employer who will not deduct tax.
