Oh, I remember the days of 1.1 litre engines. They're horrible. :( They're only economic around town. Take them over 40 MPH, or up any slope that even vaguely resembles a hill, and you're thrashing them to death and economy goes out of the window. A larger engine has more power, is easier and smoother to drive, and revs much lower (especially if it has a five speed 'box).
Go back to a 1.1 or less? :yuck:

Zackly what I was thinking. Someone who has "no clue about cars", in her own opinion, is hardly going to "kit it up". What's wrong with just buying a bloody car off the shelf? How much have you spent on modifications to your Saxo? Couldn't you have just used that money to buy a more powerful engine and then pay the extra insurance cost?

Having never driven anything less than a 1.9 - and quite frankly, I thought 1.9 was a piece of shit - the idea of buying a 1.0L engine seems laughable. Economical when you're going downhill. :yeees: Shall stick with my 3.0L. :) Oh yessuh.

I know nothing about cars, except I know that I want the car that Trinity drives in Matrix Reloaded :D vroom vroom or any car that Thierry Henry advertises, as long as he is part of the deal ;)

Has In_yer_face been back yet? We seem to be helping a person who has left.

So how *do* you go up a hill?

In fact, how do you get over a speed bump.

I'm saving up for a golf (gonna take me about 4 years tho...). And a 1ltr engine isn't all that bad! Thought about a 206 as well, but everypne's got one! Ibiza's are nice, but a bit too plain. The new golf just looks :yum:
