Tomorrows Christmas Eve;)
Yes, but in Denmark you get the presents on the 24th.
haha. me too.
god bless european families.
Didnt we (Victorian times kinda thing) get our presents on Boxing Day? That's why it's called boxing day, as the put all the pressies in boxes, or was someone having a giggle?
Happy Christmas all - I haven't been as active in politics and debate lately. Shameful - I hope you all missed me!

Good will to all men Kermit.
Merry Christmas folks (inc Bushbots)
Almost, but not quite.
The day after Christmas was apparently the day when all the poor boxes in church were opened, and the proceeds distributed out to the poor. I dont know if its just an urban myth or not, but thats apparently where it comes from:)
Merry Christmas
'In English-speaking countries, the day following Christmas Day is called 'Boxing Day'. This word comes from the custom which started in the Middle Ages around 800 years ago: churches would open their 'alms boxe' (boxes in which people had placed gifts of money) and distribute the contents to poor people in the neighbourhood on the day after Christmas. The tradition continues today - small gifts are often given to delivery workers such as postal staff and children who deliver newspapers.'

See you again in 2004!
Those who get their presents on the 24th are indeed lucky folk. In Spain it's not Santa who comes to most households but the Three Wise Men. Sadly they only do so on the 6th of January- no presents until then, and only 2 or 3 days to play with them before going back to school. So unfair...
I've had these Spanish christmas songs stuck in my head for two weeks, and have made everyone go crazy witht them!
Where did you hear the Spanish Xmas songs then?
Know more Spanish Christmas songs, than Danish ones
how do you cope? lol the 6th of january is sooooo far away from the good ol' 25th (ok maybe a few days away but still)
