Anomalous Phenomenon

Jettison the lifeboats!!!

There is an Anomalous Phenomenon heading STRAIGHT FOR US!!!!

LAURA:Howdy Y'all.... My name is Laura, and I am a sarcasm addict.

ROOM: Hello Laura.

LAURA: It has been 5 minutes since my last witty remark.

So hello all who venture this far into noob territory to read the benign and often boringly similar ramblings of the foramis noobis. I promise if you continue you will be just as dissapointed as the last 12 times you thought you would read one of these introductory threads and find something more interesting than old toast.

I hail from the great state of Texas (which I promise you is NOT the original home of George Bush, I don't know where he got that drawl from but I swear it wasn't here...) and am a single, divorced mother of 2.

I work at a civvie job that I despise and write childrens books when I can unravel enough from everything else I have to do. Scheduled completion for book two is end of summer....

So y'all let me know what's goin on... the good, the bad, the ugly.
I used to be a regular of another forum but just got really tired of the goody wholesomeness on top and the oily backstabbing that went on in the middle in place of the cream filling. I really like a nice even mix of my wholesomeness and backstabbing, or at least proper labeling so that one knows what they are consuming beforehand....

Also, I LOOOOVE word games, so if ya got a good one, holler.

Isn't that from the show where you won a dinky teapot for making 11 letter word combos?

    Sweet?

If it isn't, dish... I love learning new games.

Yeah it is but it's only 9 letters and there are numbers round aswell for example....

    WEFUINKER

FUNKIER = 7 points (unless Your oppoent scored an 8 letter word) There are 4 of those rounds followed by:

    100, 4, 5, 3, 2, 4, target 405

    100 x 4 + 5 = 405 = 10 points.

4 more word rounds (30 second time limit for all rounds) another numbers, 3 more words, 1 more numbers then an anagram:

    STANHELPE

    Go on guess!! 10 points.

I know two very long words, if that helps.

    One is:

    Pneumonultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconosises.

    The other is:

    Ultramarinocalcatinoceracioaluminiosocupreovitrolic.

Now how about THAT for a first post on The Site ? I'm going to be popular, I can tell.

Why is there the word 'Noob' next to my name ?

It just looks like I'm being called a 'nob' already by moderators who can't spell, and I haven't even really started yet !

    That's better.

    I can't say Anomalous Phenomenon.

If my family get bored they just start asking me to say words like Phenomenon, Cinnamon, Lonny Donnigan, phenominal phenomenon etc...

It is quite funny though :D

I can, but I guess my language helps. :p

    Thankyou.

I also have a speech impediment - weak 'R's. Not a weak ARSE - that would be wrong to say. Incidentally a favourite word of mine is 'calipigous'.

And I once worked for a bloke called 'Barry Morris' who ran a company called 'Pro Europa' in 'Truro'. Try saying THAT with a weak arse.

    :eek2: *snort*

Actually, Anomalous Phenomenon is the name of the book that I am trying desperatly to finish... but the reason I named it that was because I love the connotation of those words.

And for Jarvey: SHETLAN (as in the pony)
