I have been looking into a home study course for web design and was looking into a company called Skillstrain (Scheidigger) but after a hunt around the web have decided against them (Search the forums on digitaltrends.com).
Does anyone have anyone have an alternative company that will provide a web design course with some sort of recognised qualification afterwards that comes highly recommended?
I was looking at the OU but I get lost on their website and not really sure what the hell I'm looking at after a while.....
I have been working through XHTML/HTML/CSS books so have a fair understanding just looking to take it to the next level.
Should I talk to some local compaines and maybe setup some free websites for them to get a wee portfolio together?
