I went to see this guy (steve smith) on wednesday and if you're impressed by drums, then watch it - towards the end it gets pretty crazy!

Oh and watch Infinite's Kiwi link if you haven't already :)

    good stuff :)

I spend way too much time on youtube looking at drum videos, being a drummer myself.

my favourite is Buddy Rich Vs. Animal (of muppets fame). :thumb:

did you see him at a drum clinic or something?

    Buddy Rich is a legend

yup. I get tired of reading comments on youtube though. people seem to think it's a big competition or something, slating everyone left right and centre. fair enough if they just plain suck, but the majority dont.

Also bored of the blast beat and metal solos after a while, most of which lacking any sort of passion. although technically brilliant, they're just boring a lot of the time. (not saying there are;t some good ones, it's just a pain sifting through the uninspired crap).

need some bernard purdie instead :thumb:

or some plain old school drumming-in-small-pants Bozzio action

Also watch the solo of this he played decades later - still just as good :hyper:

so much more interesting to watch than someone blasting away with a double bass pedal.

double bass can be put to good use, but more often it's just unnecessary in my opinion.

till you get to a kit about this size
