I'm thinking about going on a bit of a roadtrip around Western Ireland with my other half in March - 14th-17th, coming home mid-afternoon on St Patricks Day. Flying from East Midlands to Shannon on Ryanair, £0.19 flights (just under £50 in total taxes inc and all that). Then hiring a car and driving up to the top of County Galway..

Anyone else been and got a suggestion for places to see / stay?
