I have a divorce going thru at the moment. I have a sep deed which is supposed to be carried into divorce. I am not happy with it and would like to contest part of it. My understanding is that we are to face a judge to be asked if we are both happy with this deed.
I imagine that we are a few weeks away from this. My ex is legaly aided. I am not. I cant afford the costs of a solictor + barister. I dont mind paying a few hundred pounds for advice though.
Can I:
a) See a solicitor and modify the details
b) Use the modified details in court
b) Represent myself in court and negotiate in court the final details
I am a fairly confident person and I can hold my own.
Is this wise though?
Am I going to get so totaly shafted in court that I will be worse off? She will have a full legal team. I will be on my own.
Thanks in advance, SDA
