Stray Bullets - one of the most profound works ever written in comic form

From Hell - simply superb, even if it remains absolutely terrifying at points

The Dark Knight Returns - Great story, great art... does it matter if Batman is a fascist?

Palestine - Great example of independant political comic book writing

Love & Rockets - Funny, sweet, real, heart-wrenching, beautiful and utterly modern

Maus - Like life; a great tale, with no easy endings

And Hellblazer - because Constantine is a beautiful bastard

    Star Wars - Dark Empire
Star Wars - Dark Empire 2
Star Wars - The Last Command
Star Wars - X Wing Rogue Squadron - Blood and Honor
Star Wars - Splinter of the Minds Eye
Star Wars - Shadows of the Empire - Evolution

A bit of a Star Wars geek here I'm afraid lol.

Nausicaä of the Valley of Wind - Lady Kushana from it is probably one of my favorite characters, ever. It's a really beautiful story.

    The Ultimates!
    Ultimate Galactus mini-series!
    Ultimate Fantastic Four!

(I like Ultimate Marvel, so sue me!)

Oh come on, Ultimate Galactus had him as a giant swarm of robot insects didn't it? Not a patch on the giant. The rest of ultimates was good

In Ultimate Marvel it tries to move away from the fantastic and give it some grounding. I thought the idea of a swarm or hive mind artificial intelligence bent on exterminating impure life in the universe was nifty... Though i agree it isnt better then the original devourer of worlds!
