As in the political stuff...
Been getting into it, leftwing bands like Anti-Flag, Propagandhi... Obviously more well known bands such as Greenday and NoFX have written political material as well as a lot of the old punk bands.
Can anybody recommend any bands?

There's a few other non-punk artists that write a bit of political material too, like Bright Eyes and the Decemberists.
Dead Kennedys
Crass
Conflict
Fugazi
Subhumans
Culture Shock
Stiff Little Fingers
The Pop Group
Gang of Four
Mark Stewart & The Maffia
(these last 3 are post-punk, rather than punk, but are excellent and political)
I'd also highly reccomend Aus-Rotten and Submachine
Casualties
With Anti-Flag, then there is Justin Sane's solo stuff
Operation Ivy, Common Rider is decent, though not very political
A Global Threat
Clit 45
Lower Class brats are alright too
Alot of bands off Havoc Records is pretty good too.
Clash
Not too sure I'd class Decemberists or Gogol Bordello as punk, tbh.
me neither
i'll recommend
Refused
Fugazi
Minor Threat
Quicksand
Rival Schools
At The Drive In
The top three are the most political
regardless, fans of punk tend to like ATDI in my experience.
Also check out The Misfits and The Dropkick Murphys
To second other people's suggestions
Fugazi
Clash
Sex Pistols
Dead Kennedys (fucking brilliant)
:thumb: Not really into punk, although I love Less Than Jake and when I went to see LTJ live, The Dropkick Murphys were supporting them and they were fucking excellent!
Not exactly political were they?
I also Dead Kennedies
Great bands, but not really political, except for MC5's involvement with John Sinclair etc.
Ohh and my friends band just becaues they are good and local and obviously unknown so therefor have myspace steelage potential clicky
How political were they?
I don't know a huge amount about them, but I don't think they were overtly political, anymore than the Sex Pistols were.
Try rancid and bad religon, they like to have a bitch
Leftover Crack
Crass
Skinny Puppy
..I do know more, I just can't think
I hate them too.
And The Ramones, and The Clash!
The Decemberists are as punk as Morcambe and Wise!
