well, my famliy are trying to organise a family get together in the middle of the country, as some live in cumbria (north England), some in bath (somerset) and some in basildon (London) and others sum where inbetween.
and the point is we need a place (e.g. town/City) to go somewhere in the middle (e.g. birmingham, stoke, nottingham, Northampton area) that we will all like
we've got 60+ active grandparents
40 y.o. uncle and my mum
18-20 sons (one alternative/hippy and the other just likes to drink, so clubs/pubs needed)
any suggestions of place to go???
any ideas at all welcome???

anyway are you trying to organise a day or a longer stay? A cottage around the Glastonbury area can come in pretty keep and allow everyone to hang out together for a few days - much cheaper than a hotel.
