Are you a member of a youth-led group that has developed your own project?
Have you made a positive contribution to the lives of others in your community?
Did you see a problem, come up with an idea to solve it, then made that idea real?
If so, you should enter the Makin’ it Real Awards...
Youth Action Network launched the Makin’ it Real Awards to recognise and rewards Youth Action and youth-led groups all over the country.
There are some very exciting prizes on offer including...
First Prize
A FIFA World Cup 2006 football hand signed by the entire England football team and certified by the FA – worth up to £600! Winners can choose to keep the ball or auction it and use the proceeds towards your project
A top day out for your whole group
A specially engraved trophy
Certificates for all involved
Second Prize
£300 towards your project
A top day out for your whole group
Certificates for all involved
Third Prize
£200 towards your project
A top day out for your whole group
Certificates for all involved
In addition, all short-listed groups will also be invited to a special Youth Action Awards & Celebration Event in February next year (more details coming soon!..)
TO ENTER
To enter, your group must be based in England with all members aged 25 and under. You can enter online, by email or by post...
There is a very simple form to fill in, which you can do yourself (you just need to get an adult to endorse your entry!). Or, if you’d prefer, you can get your worker to nominate you... It’s up to you! The form will only take you around five minutes to fill in, so it really is worth the effort... You never know, you might win!
