They do let people know, though.

If we're going to go down the route of saving stupid people from themselves then you should have to pass an IQ test to take out a mortgage or enter a casino. Christ, compared to the Halifax lending mortgages to people who sign the deed with SPECIMEN stamped all over it with red letters, this is nothing.

As far as I know no-one forces me to participate in these shows.

Is it different for other individuals ?

that answering every statement with a set of supposedly "cutting" questions arguement technique is de-constructive, evasive and essentially bollocks, think of some constructive stuff to say on the subject and add to the debate.

sorry to bring this up again I just always think it when i read one of your posts :)

If they really provide the information regarding the odds etc they should make it clearer. I have sometimes watched some of those programmes- sometimes on ITV, sometimes elsewhere- for a little while and at no point I have been clearly made aware of the chances there are of calls getting through.

Perhaps they tell you at the very beginning of the programme. Or perhaps they tell you with one of those very small rolling credits running at the bottom of the screen. Either way it's not enough.

From what I've seen they infact do the complete opposite of making it clear what the odds of winning are, they use various methods to make you think the odds are very very high.
I was almost convinced to call in by one of these programmes, they were very clever at making it look like no one was calling.

I think they are bad and mislead people.
