What song would you choose for your first dance when you get married?

I'd have to have Smack My Bitch Up by The Prodigy! That would just be quality!:hyper:

Depends on who I married and what our song was.

I was out with somebody the other week and Maria McKee - Show Me Heaven was on the radio in the car when he had a bit of a kiss, so if theres's wedding bells to come then no doubt it'll be that :o

Can You Feel The Love Tonight would be wicked too though.

I want something really dirty. Like Lil Jon - Get Low. I'm gonna have something on i can seriously move to.

    "She Bangs" by Ricky Whatisface...

Although we had Crazy For You by Madonna (because the DJ didn't have our other choices Here and Now by Luther and Wonderful Tonight by Clapton)

    Nice. I like it :thumb:

Mine would definitely be Tom Waits - Little Trip to Heaven (On the Wings of Your Love). The words and music are perfect.

Little trip to heaven on the wings of your love
Banana moon is shining in the sky
I feel like I'm in heaven when your with me
I know that I'm in heaven when you smile
Though were stuck here on the ground
I got something that I've found, and it's you

I don't need to take no trip to outer space
All I have to do is look in your face
And before I know it I'm in orbit around you
Thanking my lucky stars that I found you
When I see your constellation, your my inspiration
    And it's you

Your my North Star when I'm lost and feeling blue
Your my sun that's breaking through, it's true
And all the other stars seem dim around you
I thank my lucky stars that I found you
When I see your smilin face
I know nothing's gonna take your place
And it's you, and it's you, and it's you,
and it's you, and it's you, and it's you.

That's not to mention the instrumental *melts*

I did used to have an idea of Leonard Cohen's Dance Me to the End of Love, too. Or Here, There and Everywhere by The Beatles. They're still possibilities, not that I'll ever get married of course!

The wedding I was at the other week, the bride and groom had their first dance to My Baby Just Cares for Me by Nina Simone. Beautiful sentiment, but they had a spot of bother "dancing" to it

    We had Moon River.

Many years before we were engaged we went on holiday to Champagne and drank quite a bit of it before dinner and then when we were very drunk decided to talk about what we would have as our first dance whilst we were eating dinner. Anyway thats what we decided on and then had to obviously go through with it. However i'm not entirely sure the rest of the restaurante appreciated us serenading each other with different possible songs.

    in what way?

You know the song, right? It was more like a "bop"/mad exercise class around the dance floor than any kind of romantic first dance of marriage; though knowing them I think they might have done it on purpose for comic effect

We sort of had Stand By Me. But it was a singer rather than a DJ. Not the best singer in the world ... he got progressively worse as he got progressively more drunk
