Uh, I don't know exactly how it works in your country so I don't quite understand your question, but I'll try to explain how it works in the Netherlands

Here the study usually takes 4 years.
Because I have am pre-university graduated, I only have to study 3 years to become a teacher in a primary school :yippe:

Right now, I'm a first-year student (I graduated from college last year). At the end of the 2nd year I'll have to choose between the 'lower' primary school (4 - 8 years) or the 'upper' primary school (8 - 12 years)

Right now, I'm in internship in 'group 4', which means the last class of the 'lower' primary school (the kids are 7 or 8 years old).

I really love it, my class is so sweet!

@VinylVickey: Ever visited my country? :)

I know there'll be differences, i was just wondering what type of degree it was. Over here you either need 3 years undergraduate and one year post graduate (which is what i have) or 4 years combined degree. You also have the choice you can teach early years (nursery to year 2) or primary (nursery to year 6). I chose Early years, because i have no interest in upper primary.

Groningen is like foreign country to me, lol, it's about 250 km's away from my place! (and that's quite a distance, considering that my country isn't that big ;) )
