It's funny with hindsight. I fancied her a bit, too, which made it worse.

Personally, I think, Everyone would be different then on here. You see a pic, you see comments but you dont see the real person.
I met a girl on a forum once and she was a bitch and a half... on the forums she thought she was god. But when I got to know her personally, she was a laugh and a lovely girl and had a good heart :)

I tried that the last time then the two people clean forgot about turning up at the pub :o

I did try and accomodate people a bit much, so maybe a more stubborn approach......

Didn't it all fall through due to lack of interest?

I don't even remember a time being set closer to the date, and therefore believed the plug had been pulled.

But don't you find that sometimes people do need a 'kick up the ass' to get them to realise that the way they're going they're not helping themselves. I've had a few and they've helped.

Oh definitely, I've been kicked up the arse and it helped, and I think others need it too.

I think sometimes sympathy is counter-productive, as they're getting attention through being depressive, so they have no incentive to change.

You've been to too many meets love :p

When I met some of the people at a meet I found them all to be really friendly. Most people turned out as I expected them - think I may have come across as a tad shy and quiet but that's just the situation and some people were obviously old timers in the meet stakes and seem to get on with and know so many people more personally than me, I felt a lil out of my depth, but glad I went - I met the people I really wanted to and it was fab :)

When I first joined I thought people would never be their true selves on a message board. And although I haven't met anyone in person from here I have been surprised by how truthful and authentic most people sound.

I have no idea how I come accross on here, but probably as more serious than I really am. But then I give out that impression to people IRL who I have just met as well...

Everyone I've met has been pretty much as expected, I think. Although ShyBoy was way shorter than I thought he would be (despite knowing exactly how tall he was).

Ohh I was suprised by his shortness as well - sorry shyboy.

I've met lots of people too most were how I imagined but a few were a bit different to how i expected.

i think i probably come accross as very aloof because i'm uber shy - unless i've talked to you lots in the chat room in which case i tend to get people very drunk.

If posters worked like Stephen Fry on the mighty QI tells me of sponges then you could put them all in a large blender, blitz for a bit before pooring the resultant slop out; what would then form is a giant idiotic, overly dramatic, STD infested chav with severe mood swings, suicidal tendancies, significant scarring, a criminal record, a large bump growing on its tummy and a overwhelming sense of unjustified self importance.

    Fortunately sponges are asexual.
