when you make videos of london landmarks, you're arab and the home office fails to get you deported when you appeal against a a bad asylum ruling and you are allowed to live here:thumb:

yes,in the newspapers, those guys cleared of planning terroist acts by a jury, have now been put under a control order/house arrest restricting their movements

yes we really live in a democracy.......
The Government has not heeded repeated warnings that control orders involve secret courts and secret evidence that are not compatible with the right to a fair trial.
so secret trials and evidence really are what seperates us from the nastier places of the world i think not

cant wait to move abroad until these stupid over the top powers are revoked

Not really. Completely innocent people aren't even allowed to take photos of various types of building these days, because everyone's so paranoid. (And by not allowed, I mean that rent-a-cop security guards stop them)

im doubtful over whether they are actually innocent, the failings of the police system was the cause of the not guilty verdict not the evidence.

like it or not, if they got cleared of anything by their peers, the government shouldnt be able to overrule the decision

Who's paranoid though? The tabloids always say something, and suddenly that's what "everyone" is thinking. No-one on this website seems to be paranoid - well not of terrorists anyway, maybe of the government. It's like during the World Cup when suddenly "everyone" thinks England are going to win the World Cup. If you actually go out and ask everyone, you'll find that hardly anyone thinks we're gonna win the thing. I hate the fact that the newspapers are the measuring device as to what everyone thinks.
