    I've been away so will think up my ideas later.

    Nice to see a certain person as usual thinks asylum seekers and immigrants are the same thing and i hope his concious would be able to cope with the thousands of asylum applicants that would be sent home and tortured. :chin:

    Also not allowing immigration would mean there would be no world class south american footballers coming to play in the premiership...

    I certainly would but there are no jobs here for anyone, everyones unemployed in my town.

    If they're suffering so badly they can clear off to another safe country can't they? Easy.

    No it's not that easy. What happens when France, Germany, Spain etc get majorly pissed off that you refuse to take your fair share of asylum seekers? And how do you propose to deal with the huge upturn in people trying to get into the country illegally, since you've closed down all the legal channels to them for a year? Or are you just hoping they'll walk up to the gates, see a closed sign and say "*sigh* I guess we'll go to France instead?"

    Firstly I didnt go to a public school and im not a toff. Get it right. Secondly you have always show obvious signs of racism. People can't pick and choose where they go either. You're ignorance shows yet again.

    It is only for 12 months. If France Spain etc won't take them, I'm sure some country will. The UK won't, we've had our fair share for 12 months.

    Partol boarder police will deal with the illegals. It's not going to stop it 100% but it will defer majority. If they are feeling fleeing death, France would be a better place for them.
    Why souldn't they want to go to France? Any safe country is better than nothing if life is being fought?
    The UK would NOT welcome asylum seekers for 12 months.

    Immigration is not a problem. Immigration is good for this country.

    Either your knowledge on immigration comes from the likes of the Daily HateMail and the S*n and you are completely ignorant of its actual effects, or you simply don't like immigrants.

    I fervently hope it's the former.

    Whilst I am in favour of the free movement of peoples, it is a lie to say that some social problems are not caused by immigration.
