Am I normal?

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Right. Here's the facts, short and sweet. Advise, opinions etc. all welcome please.

When I get an erection my foreskin doesn't pull back over the end of my penis? Does this happen to anyone else? It pulls back kinda a little, but only to reveal a little tip of the penis - not life over half a centimetre or anything? What happens to everyone else?

The thing is me & my girlfriend went to have sex for the first time a while ago. It's my first but not hers. So anyway - I went to enter her and the pressure of my penis on her vagina pushed the foreskin about an inch back down my penis which really hurt and made my instantly lose my erection?

I think maybe if she was a little bit more wet or something then it would have eased in ok?

Like how much resistance am I supposed to feel when putting it in her? Do you really have to like force it in, or does it just slide gently in?

Aaarrrggghhh!!!!

Help please!

Try using a condom, as well as the contraception and STI protection, it may help with the foreskin problem. You may not need surgery unless the problem is very bad, it's worth having a chat with your GP about this.

I know this is a really personal question, but what the hell. When you masturbate, does it go back further then? Before you come, for instance, because I think if you are really excited as oppossed to just erect I think they get a bit wet which should make movement a bit easier. Maybe you should masturbate each other a bit more first so that you are both wet - there is a lot to be said for foreplay! If you are not really excited before sex(esp if its your first time) it can hurt and put you off. Don't rush and you will be fine! If you are using condoms (which you know you should!) use a lube like K-Y.

ROZ - Thats a bit drastic isn't it? It's not like you can go to your GP and get circumcised is it? Know wnyone that has had it done? Wud I have to go to hospital? For how long? What the hell whould I tell my parents? "....Er mum.....I'm just popping into hospital for a few days to have my dick cut?!?!"

ANGEL - Thanks, much more useful advice. Er - masturbation. It goes back a little further when I masturabte if I take my time. I have been worried about it for some time and tried using a bit of vasoline once to see if it helped and after a few minutes it went back a fair bit furhter - but the skin always looks like it's under so much tension around the penis where the skin ends.

No-one answered my question about HER. When she's quite wet how like difficult is it to push my penis inside her? Is it quite forceful pushing it in or does it just slide it? If it just slides in then surley as long as I am hard it won't push my foreskin back too much so that it hurts?

Cheers people. Advice V much appreciated.

It depends on how much sexual activity she has had in the past mate. To be reasonably crude, it depends how 'tight' she is.

Anyways, I used to have the same problem as you but if you just spend more time on the foreplay and maybe get her to give you some head then it'll wet it up a bit better

Just chill out and make sure you spend a while warming up, just like a girl needs to a lot of the time.

If you feel you have the bottle to goto the doctors, the do it, you dont _have_ to have a circumsistion even if they do suggest it. And it's all confidential remember

As for angel's comment, yes, using a condom helps loads, and dont forget it will prevent you from getting those nasty STD's

    Good luck,

    Phil.

Dont worry, I have been through a very similar thing myself. I used to have a lot of trouble pulling it back but the more often I did it the easier it got, either it was stretched or it was just still growing! I'd say to just keep trying to jently ease it back from time to time. Hope this helps.

p.s if you really want to put your mind at ease, go to the docs!

I had the ame problem. One thing to try is marsturbation, but dont go over-board, just get gradual in time, therefor stretching the for-skin (best in the bath) - or so i think.

Or on the NHS, you can get creams etc. for this problem, although they would recomend circumcision.

    - damn i cant spell that word.

Circumcision isn't all that bad - girls would go wild over ya cause you would last longer in bed - lol.

I used to be exactly the same. The first few times I tore slightly. Then when we stopped using condoms....
I went to the doctor (and of course it shrank) an he very helpfully said 'stop havin' sex.
I said, sod it. The skin gradually just got more supple.
I'm now 22, have been at it for years.
    Absolutely NO need for circumcision.
If it don't seem to be gettin' any better of the situation seems intolerable then you'd best see the quack..
Think very hard about circumcision tho' - it ain't great.

I had the same prob. Using a condom helped ease the pain a bit altho it did occasionally get a bit red afterwards...

Not sure if its fixed or not tho, haven't had sex in quite a while (not my choice) so i've just made this totally pointless post why....dunno. im gonna shut up now

I can speak from experience here having had the same problem. I am now 34 and suffered for years.

In the end I had to undergo circumcision which didn't really hurt just a little uncomfortable for a week or so.

I am happy to say that everything is now fine- sex is much better it is more hygenic and girls tell me they prefer it.

There is no need to be embarrassed visit your Doctor and if serious enough they will refer you to the hospital.

The most embarrassing thing about the whole event for me was not having to tell my parents, friends etc or going to the GP but waking up in hospital to find my sisters best friend (female nurse) changing my dressing !!! We laugh about it now.

Have no fear see how it goes but do get it checked medically if you have further problems.

How do you know it isn't "great"? The circumcised guys I've come across were honestly very pleased with the results and they noticed no degredation to their sex lives ...

Like anyone, they'd have wanted to avoid the op because of the discomfort but now that it's been done, they're very happy.

If the foreskins tight it WILL hurt when it gets pushed back, as everyone else has aaid, go to the doctors. Its no different to any other part of the body

And as for your gf, itll hurt you if the foreskin wont roll back, so its probably not got much to do with your gf. But, as always, the more turned on you are the easier it is to penetrate. Foreplay is fun and useful
