to go on sale in cans in the uk.
with all the good stuff taken out to make it legal.
it will help normalise cannabis a bit more in peoples minds.
what i'd like to know is ...who will be growing it and what will they do with the extracted goodies ...

Sounds good to me... If it taste anything like the tea you do with weed should be alright... without the effects tho unfortunatly... I would definatly try that...

Do you reckon it will carry a warning saying "Warning, this product will NOT get you stoned"...otherwise how many kids will buy it thinking they might?!

Tee hee. I used to give people oxo cube hot knives, they would just leave so I don't know whether it got them 'stoned'. Was funny though.

If its a health drink, what would be the positives to drinking it?

i heard they can grow weed without any goodness in the first place, and they do in england cos the stalks and stuff are useful for all sorts of things plus there are the healthy fats in there. i mean you get the urban legend of people finding and harvesting and selling entire fields of the stuff with disastrous consequences...
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Didn't they used to grow fields of the stuff to make paper and rope from?

Commonly, non THC containing cannabis is referred to as Hemp. There is some information on Hemp cultivation in the UK on a site I googled called Mother Hemp. They say -
Hemp has been grown in the UK for many hundreds of years prior to the ban on Cannabis in the early part of this century. It was always regarded as a hardy versatile crop. The ban on hemp was lifted in 1993 when Hemcore Ltd were granted the first license for trial plots. There are now approximately 80 hemp farms growing a total of 2,500 hectares in the UK.
Licenses are issued from the Home Office for approved hemp varieties and end-uses. Hemp is not a difficult crop to grow but difficulties do occur during harvest due to the strength of its fibre. Currently an EC subsidy is available for recognised varieties.

Hemp has an interesting history, if you care to do a bit of research....

    So there you go.
