That one doesnt look too bad, and has a good customer rating. As long as everyone is between 18 and 30.

Sorry, just sticking my oar in there, I'm not even staying :p

I've put it in bold to get people's attention :P

Right guys, we need to get this hostel booked.

I've found THIS one which looks rather good and its only £10 to stay over.

All the hostel bookings seem to be running out so we need to book soon.

Can those who are staying overnight confirm as soon as possible please and then we can book it.

That one does look good. We need a general consesus which is a pain in the ass getting. PersonallY I aint really too fussed where we sleep!

To be honest, if people don't start responding, there isn't going to be anywhere to sleep...except maybe a few park benches :p

PM those who are staying saying "this is it unless you have a better idea".
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Well i'll be definitely staying (which i think you know anyway).

PM those who are staying saying "this is it unless you have a better idea".

The thing is, theres people on the front page who aren't staying anymore and theres people on the front page that are staying but aren't on that staying list so I don't know everyone who I should PM.

    Arrrggghhh :crazyeyes

Ah. That could be a problem.

As far as I know, the people staying are: Me, Rich_E, Violette, JST, Fireyfrenzy, Doofay and Schnap me baby.

Briggi and Wildspirit are not staying over now right.

So I need to book a hostel for 7 people?

    I need confirmation!!!

Is Babyshambler coming too? Shes on the list that Steph made a couple of pages ago for staying, but hasnt replied to the thread at all.
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
    Yeah, your right.

    I've PM'd them all.

So, the to be staying list is:
    Me
    Rich E
    Violette
    JST,
    Fireyfrenze
    Babyshambler
    Doofay
    Schnap me baby

    Right, I've PM'd all them.

If anyone else wants to stay over then let me know like straight away!

Its not unwalkable from Baker St either according to the map!
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Well someone else pick a hostel that is then thats affordable. I keep trying my best but its always not good enough. We could always get the tube. Paddington station is nearby if I rightly remember. I don't know London. I've never been there.
  • JsTJsT Posts: 18,268 Skive's The Limit
Eh? I wasn't insulting the choice of hostel at all? I was saying it was good it was near Baker Street?!

Me thinks you need to re-read the message.
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
 Silly me. I thought you said it was unwalkable from baker st.

    I'm sorry xxxxx :(

Paddington, Euston, and King's Cross St Pancras are all fairly near to Baker Street. When you arrive, get yourself a map of the tube, that'll show you where the main locations are.

(the only problem with King's Cross is, as the biggest station on the network, it seems to go on forever. Last time I was there, I was trying to get on the Hammersmith & City line, I'm convinced I was walking around for about fifteen minutes!)

it took me and JsT about 25 mins just to get to the street in front of euston from baker street, and while we were not storming our way there, we wasnt exactly hanging about either

If I remember correctly, the order, going westbound is Euston > Great Portland Street > Baker Street. I don't know what the fuss is about. The underground is pathetically easy to navigate, I don't understand why so many people are phased by it.

    we were walking

I know you were. The mystery is why you'd even want to walk from one part of London to another. :p
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
because the tube system was knackered that day and required walking at least some vast distance, just from a station slightly nearer to euston, and after going through a million changes on the tube

thats what heavy engineering work does to you

I haven't replied due to work/lack of internet access.

Put me down. Do I need to book it myself, or is Stacey doing it?

ETA - I just read the thread, duh. Count me in! Also, my mate from work is running in the marathon, does this mean I can throw rocks at him?
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
I PM'd you Babyshambler, are you definately coming yeah?

We need to book it all together but I'm out tonight, tomorrow night and the night after that so someone else might have to do it.
