    3dsmax is quite good imo and quite easy to use... just follow the tutorials... after for the best in 3d software I would suggest Maya...

    its easy enough for abstract stuff .. just make sure you import it to photoshop properly and with creative use of blending modes you'll have some sexy stuff ...
