Allergic to carpet?

Ever since we had new carpets installed on Monday, I've had heat lump type spots all over? Extremely itchy. Wondering if this could be the reason?

    possibly. are they wool carpets? cause wool allergy is pretty common.

    if they're synthetic, i doubt it. have you changed anything else recently?

    i dunno, my mum says it's some sort of man made fibre.
