my brother claims his work is trying to get him fired. They keep changing his shifts and not tellnig him so he doesnt know when to come in.
They placed him a saturday 8am shift and didnt tell him.
He confronted his boss and she jsut sia d
"if your not happy, dont work here"

surely she cant actually do that? how the hell is he went to know ehn to work if they done tell him? if he gets fired is there anything he can take up against his employer? unfair dismissial?

That doesn't sound very fair at all. Your brother is probably best out of somewhere that treats him like that.

I guess he just needs to make sure he checks his shifts more often than he'd like to. But yeah, they shouldn't be doing that.

what field of work is he in?

telecoms, works in a call centre taking orders for sauinsbury's.

he cant leave becuase he needs to moeny to pay his rent etc, he's a student.

any ideas?

What he needs to do is start taking copies of all his shift rotas, as proof in any disciplinary hearing.

They'd also come in handy at a tribunal too.

No, legally they can't do that, but they can do it until you kick up a fuss and stop them.
