You'll need to get yourself along to your local AFCO (Armed Forces Careers Office) for an interview with an Officer (or a Leading Rate). They'll get some info from you mainly on your qualifications and branch interests - Surface Fleet, Fleet Air Arm, Submarines, that kind of jazz. The ACLO (Area Careers Liaison Officer) can arrange ship visits and acquiants to give you a deeper understanding of what being an officer is all about. I spent 3 days on HMS Manchester out at sea, having a look round and living in the Wardroom; and I've just got back from a Warfare Officer acquaint in Portsmouth, another 3 dayer - all at the MOD's expense too.

Go with an open mind and they'll give you all the information you'll need.
