I knowing the classing system is a load of balls but I was wondering how they decide to place what where?

Its not as simple as Class A, B or C, there are schedules of drugs too, this is based on their medical use.

So heroin for example is Class A schedule II I believe meaning its dangerous but has some medical use.

As to why some drugs as Class A and others Class C, who knows, largely they are based on old sterotypes and left overs from previous stupid laws.

An example of this is mushrooms, which were made Class A basically because the other hallucinogens are Class A so they just chucked it in with them.

Its clear to anyone that the classifications make no sense and that they dont reflect the harm the drugs can cause to the person or society.

But, there is a select committee looking into them and maybe they will be changing, but I doubt we will see big changes.
