What to wear with brown cords

I have a lovely pair of brown cords, sort of a dark chocolaty colour. Trouble is most of my wardrobe is black and I haven't got much to go with them. Any idea what sort of colours to wear with them? I've found cream works quite well but not sure about any other colours.

Different blues can look great with brown, but to be honest I'd say you can wear pretty much any colour with brown cords, they're casual enough that you don't need to "match". I'd avoid orange and pink though, they're difficult ones.

i normally wear my brown cords with stuff i would wear with anything else, which is brightly colour t-shirts and vests and i think that looks quite ok.

obviously wearing more brown is probably a bad idea because you will look like a giant walking poo

Bright green or mustard, or dark pink/pale pink. Purple looks fit too. Who says things need to match?

i think chocolate brown would look nice with 'cold' colours, ya know like on a colour chart. also beige and white.

Errrrm beiges, creams, ligher blues, i like pink and brown, red, I dont eva mix black and brown (unless it is necessary and i cant help it) but some people like it, so its up to your own taste weather you like black and brown.

a nice rusty orange would look nice, and the same as everyone else, all pastels will go, but avoid lemon, you will look like a brownie

id wear cream or black. loads of people seem to think you cant wear brown and black but i think it can look really good.

I like brown and black more than brown and blue coz "brown and blue will never do".

I'm not a fan of brown and black but I've seen some people who wear the right shade of brown and make it work. Personally I'd go with purple or a burnt orange

A fedora should be a staple item in anyone's wardrobe! Brown and blue is no always bad but - brown cords with a blue hoody?? *eyes wide in horror* sounds rather scruffy...

i got some brown baggy linen pants the other day. i wore them with a dark green vest and thort they looked great but i was told i looked like a tree
