Well, I think it's private Snowball - it might be private Joker.
Anyone know what I'm talking about? Full Metal Jacket! The film rocks, I love it!
'How tall are you private!'
'5 foot 11 SIR!'
'Jesus H Christ private Snowball, I didn't know they stacked shit that high!
This is my rifle, there are many like it, but this one is mine...
'Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you
Happy birthday dear Jesus, happy birthday to you'
'Today is Christmas...'
Sucky sucky! Me love you long time - ten dollar

Fantastic film. If you havn't seen it, then get it. And if you have, watch it again. It's definitely worth it!
One last quote:
What the hell is that private Pile, I've seen more inspiration floating in the toilet after I've taken a crap!

It isnt joker or snowball, it is private cowboy. And yes, I agree, the scenes at bootcamp are the best I ahve ever seen. You know that the entire film was made in Britain, the boot camp scene was made at an RAF base (you can tell it is england from the road markings) and the war scenes were filmed in the London Docklands and at Pinewood studios and the English countryside. None of the footage was filmed in America or Vietnam.

I watched most of it, but I rented it out and had to take it back to Blockbuster <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/frown.gif">

    The other out the window
With a smile on my face

Thanks GFM, for a moment then I thought I'd dreamt it.

As for his last film's title - personally I think that he was telling us what's the best way to watch it!

I can remember cause I went to that place for my basic training, you also see the name 'Basingbourne Bks' on the credits

It used to be a RAF bks during WWII but was sold over to the army shortly after, they use the run-way in it for the BPFA (1.6 Miles Run in fasted time)

Tremendous film. That women sniper. That fat matey at the barracks. Every thing about that film was wicked. Does any1 think Apocolypse Now is a good film? I think that is an excellent film apart from the ending.

madness, the topic got me confused with "people vs. larry flynt".. another awesome movie. i just finished watching it today, and the reason the topic caught me was the jesus h christ ish, in one scene larry flynt's desk name plate says jesus h christ. Oh yeah, Kubrick is/was/forever shall be the greatest. Milos Forman is cool too. What are your opinions on AI? I want to see it this weekend. I heard spielberg messed it up?

    --lame american bah,
