1. I didnt realise it was `sad` to look at peoples profiles. I thought they were there so you can find out a little about the person you are replying to.
2. I was under the impression that `teenybopper` meant a teenage fan of pop music. you were using it as a derogatory term for some reason. ironic because you are a teenager yourself and the music that everyone was talking about wasnt even pop music.

BumbleBee, leave it. People are allowed to have music tastes, no need to be rude about it. It's one thing referring to "obvious" child-targeted pop, quite another when you're fully aware of the reaction you shall recieve by inferring that Linkin Park are pop.
i love linkin park! they rule! their new album is meant to be like the executioners type of music but i kinda hoping it's gonna be like Hybrid Theory cos that album rulz.

Firstly, you're right, I was using teenybopper to refer to teenage fans of pop music, and it is a derogatory term in my eyes because pop music sucks.
Furthermore, Linkin Park, are in my opinion pop music.

that doesnt mean that linkin park is pop music, it just means that you dislike more than one kind of music.
I have a very broad taste in music and i realise that some kinds of music are hard to categorise, but i would say that linkin park are `new metal` rather than pop music.

Again, good for you. I don't agree. There is no such thing as new metal or nu-metal. I think Linkin Park make pop music because they make music and they are popular with little kids.
anyway, back to linkin park, i absolutely LOVE them, cant believe their splitting up, their brilliant. their lyrics are really good and i think that mike is SO cute, he looked well fit with blue hair but now hes shaved it and its black i think?? i will definately miss them <IMG SRC="frown.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">
if you are saying that anything that is popular is `pop music` then i can see your logic, but that would mean that country and western , bhangra, rave, rock are all pop music. So many kinds of music have huge followings, but pop music generally means top 40 kind of manufactured music, which incidently I dont think theres anything wrong with, although im not keen on it myself.
I think its great that if kids like Linkin park, whats wrong with kids. To be so down on something just because you think kids like it, is a very teenage attitude of thinking you are more grown up than you are.

i dont know what music you are into so how can i know if i share a passion for it. To be quite honest Bumblebee, practically every post ive seen of yours has been negative or insulting to someone, ive tried to get a decent debate out of you , but youre so defensive and illogical.

I've got their album and I think Chester is a hottie, but I still think they're POP.
