Yeah baby. Let's make Kermit wear one as well
I'm always up for a challenge!
This is going to be fun; everyone has to drink a bottle of dog*, or else.
*Newcastle Brown Ale, for the uninitiated
Only if it has pictures of Libby with her norks out.
The Grotto? Pah. It's trying to be trendy now, I think its a seafood place.
Maybe we could go to the Galleries and marvel at how crap yet strangely captivating new towns are.
Jemz, you probably won't make it there and back in the same day. See the thread further up for cheapo accomodation.
I propose 12 noon to meet at the portico at central.
Which other meet would it be for?:p
I've never seen the Portico that's why I asked.
ETA: just booked a bed at the Albatross on Grainger St, hope its pretty close to everything to stagger home drunked afterwards. should be a good crack
Grainger Street is well within staggering distance koe, worry not!
Get here when you want then. 1356 is early enough.
No. It's hideously expensive, and horrid. Even O'Neills would be preferable.
Better pubs are literally seconds walk away: The Forth, The Bodega, The Bridge.
Meet by Burger King in the station. The portico is what the huge arch outside the station is called.
It's not going to be a huge boozy do until at least teatime. I refuse.
I will warn people that the 4 March is a home fixture for the Toon. That will make the toon insanely busy during the afternoon and early evening- especially the restaurants and buffets in Chinatown- although the Quayside will be alright. It's annoying because nearly all of my fave pubs are by St James.
Is the Toon some sort of ... actually I have no idea. *googles it* Is it something to do with Newcastle United Football club?
I did not know that...who says this place isn't an education?
Meeting up outside BK is only mildly embarassing, so I suppose it'll do... and also, is it wrong that I actually think O'Neills is alreet?
It could make getting food a pain, as Chinatown is right by the football stadium. Should be alright, just longer queues.
Wye-aye.
Not even a Southerner could miss the BK in the station. Which makes it ideal.
It is when the Forth is about 10 paces away...
I take your point, but stand by my secret and shameful patronage of it.
At least it's not Gotham Town, the pub that naked leapfroggers call home...
Or tell anyone we don't like that's where we're meeting...
We are meeting at 3pm at Gotham Town on Saturday 32nd March. The dress code for the bar crawl is strictly bikini.
:thumb:
No, really, Socks...Gotham Town is the new point of meetage. Really.
No, actually I'm getting confused! Argh! Well I'm going to meet people at Buger King. Ha.
Is it still 12 that we're meeting at?
Yes, its 12 noon or thereabouts at BK.
